Forklift Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team at BM Forklift Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts to ensure proper functioning of forklifts
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
  • Diagnose and isolate faults on engines to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs
  • Document inspection and test results to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Review work orders and blueprints to determine work requirements and estimate repair costs
  • Collaborate with supervisors to discuss work and ensure efficient workflow
  • Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment to maintain high customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • 30 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
