Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assessing clients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal client outcomes. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and optimal client outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to regulatory standards.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare's policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in proactive health and safety activities.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered and in good standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Experience with in-home assessments and treatments, as well as knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system, is an asset.

Standards of Performance

The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed-upon specific goals and objectives.
