As a Crop Specialist at Nortera, you will play a vital role in managing our seed supply, monitoring crops, mentoring growers, and serving as a liaison for crop insurance and the AVG Grower Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor crops and advise on planting and harvest schedules to ensure crop targets are met.
  • Represent the company in development of crop insurance programs for the grower base.
  • Makes recommendations for seed supply and acreage requirements.
  • Leads the plant in grower negotiations and ensures grower records are entered on database.
  • Finalizes grower returns and stays in touch with the plant continuously to ensure awareness of expected quality.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Agriculture.
  • CCA or certification in progress considered an asset.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Class 5 license with acceptable driver's abstract.
  • Ideal candidate has minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we also provide opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
