Job Summary:

Verify, Inc is seeking a skilled Mechanical Source Inspector to support our customer's quality assurance needs. As a Mechanical Source Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product specifications during in-process and final inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support on-site inspections at supplier facilities to perform documentation, visual, and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
  • Validate product and paperwork compliance with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.
  • Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure compliance with customer purchase order requirements and specifications.
  • Perform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques.
  • Report inspection results via operating systems for Customer and Verify while communicating any non-conformances and providing reject or rework disposition.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in inspection of tight tolerances, complex mast assemblies, special processes such as heat treat, NDT, and helicopter mast inspection.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard and knowledge of technical data packages for full traceability of documents.
  • Experience using various inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Soft skills to clearly communicate non-conformances internally and externally.
  • Computer savvy and willing to use personal laptop to complete inspection reporting via SAP platform and SPP (Supplier Performance Platform).
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess all PPE required per supplier's safety requirements.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, maneuver, and lift at least 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VSC - 1099 Contractor with established LLC/DBA.
  • EIN# must be provided at time of onboarding if candidate does not qualify for VTR W2 Field Employee (30-40 hours/weekly).
