Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Package Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting and separating freight by destination, weight, size, and shape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
  • Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
  • Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
  • Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
  • Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
  • Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Additional Responsibilities

As a Package Handler, you will also be responsible for:

  • Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve common goals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • No specialized education is required
  • No experience necessary

Working Conditions

This is a warehouse environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform manual dexterity tasks.

What We Offer

Purolator Inc. offers a competitive hourly rate of $22.27 and a 27.5 hour workweek. This role is available Monday to Friday, 2:00am - 8:00am, with a 30-minute unpaid break.
