We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at the Anglophone North School District.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide a broad range of professional psychological services in the school system, including student learning and behaviour, understanding of child and adolescent exceptionalities, and psychological adjustment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual student psychological assessments, in-service education, and participation in the development and implementation of preventive and crisis response programs.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, other school personnel, and parents in a collaborative process of defining problems and developing appropriate programs and interventions.
- Travel is required.
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology with course work and experience to meet the requirements for licensed membership in the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick.
Successful completion of course work in child and adolescent development as well as child and adolescent exceptionalities are required.
Experience in school psychology is desirable.
Working Conditions:The successful candidate must be capable of working both independently and in a collaborative manner with students, parents, teachers, Child and Youth Teams, and Education Support Services Teams.
Knowledge of school-based decision-making and policies would be an asset.
Salary and Benefits:In accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees-Professional Support Group Collective Agreement.
If you are not eligible for licensure as a Psychologist I, candidates will be considered for employment as a Psychometrist II until meeting requirements for licensure.
This is an open competition; however, in accordance with The New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees Union Collective Agreement, should unionized employees under this bargaining group apply, employees shall be selected on the basis of their skill, ability, and qualifications.
