Job Summary:

The Stores Controller SC2 is a critical role within the IMP Group, responsible for overseeing the inventory control and logistics operations at our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate management of inventory, supplies, and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate and execute the receiving, sorting, and issuing of inventory and supplies.
  • Process and verify incoming requisitions and distribute inventory and supplies as required.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, recording shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and investigations to ensure accuracy and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other machinery.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Provide training and support to other team members as required.

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Forklift Operator certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Physical ability to perform the role, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methods, manuals, and computerized record-keeping systems.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.
  • Basic knowledge of WHMIS regulations and other regulations related to shipping.
  • Current provincial driver's license.
  • Acceptable attendance and performance records.
