Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Artist to join our team at Indian Spice. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including traditional South Indian and East Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods

* Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

* Inspect kitchens and food service areas

* Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

* Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

* Clean kitchen and work areas

* Organize buffets and banquets

* Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

* 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment

* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as required

* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Working Conditions:

* Physically demanding work environment

* Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with distractions

* Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed

* Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
