At DESIRE PEAK CONSTRUCTION INC., we are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and erecting and dismantling scaffolding and forms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other equipment
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, forms, and other structures
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites

As a Construction Labourer and Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to work under pressure. You will be physically demanding and require manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
