About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Specialist to join our team at McDonald's Canada. As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the market leadership by contributing to the development and implementation of human resources strategies and related planning that supports the growth and evolution of the business while managing risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR support to the market leadership by contributing to the development and implementation of human resources strategies and related planning.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of human resource management and provincial compensation laws, standards and rules.
  • Support the market workforce plan by sourcing, selecting, hiring, on-boarding, and developing people to address competency needs and retain qualified talent aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the delivery of "gold standard launches" with a focus on perfect execution targeted to drive continuous improvement and growth in business results.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in the Human Resources field or previous experience working in food service or retail in a HR context.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing information, situations and direction while not losing momentum.
