Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labour Delivery Recovery team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Clinical Practice Nurse, you will provide professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments and coordination of patient care and discharge.
  • Lead the healthcare team in providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Recent Labour/Delivery/Recovery nursing experience or one (1) year combined mother-baby care experience required.
  • Recent Operating Room nursing experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of the AORN Periop 101 on-line course or equivalent Operating Room training/experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active participation in professional associations, such as the Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM).
  • Bilingualism (ability to understand and speak English/French).
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
