Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a skilled Cake Decorator to join our team in Retail Store Operations. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cakes and decorated products that meet our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce cakes and decorated products using various methods and tools according to Co-op programs and customer special orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized display case, ensuring a visually appealing presentation of our products.
- Organize decorating supplies in a suitable manner and assist the Bakery Manager with inventory management.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery, ensuring all products are stored in a proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Prepare, package, and price baked goods as required.
- Display and rotate baked goods according to established guidelines.
- Process bakery orders from customers, prepare accurate invoices, and provide exceptional customer service aligned with the Co-op brand.
- Maintain sanitation standards and practices, ensure tools and equipment are in good working order, and keep the work area clean and neat.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Bakery Manager.
Requirements:
- Applicable training or experience in a related field.
- Strong service orientation, motivation, and ability to serve customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Capability to operate required equipment within the bakery.
- Ability to work early mornings, when required.
