Work EnvironmentYou will work in a non-smoking environment, providing support to clients in their own homes. This is a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Responsibilities- Administer bedside and personal care
- Administer medications
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- Feed or assist in feeding
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook
To be successful in this role, you will require a Health Care Aide Certificate and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs). You must also be available to work a 40-hour week and be able to provide a reference.
