Strum Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor in Training to join our team in Antigonish. As a Surveyor in Training, you will play a key role in supporting our Surveying division and contributing to the success of our projects.

A Day in Your Life at Strum:

  • Combining office and fieldwork to deliver high-quality surveying services.
  • Conducting boundary, subdivision, and topographic field surveys.
  • Providing construction layout and quality control services.
  • Designing subdivision lots and resolving boundary solutions in the office.
  • Preparing detailed survey approaches and calculations for assigned projects.
  • Identifying and undertaking required surveying research.
  • Translating and processing field data.
  • Creating detailed drawings, reviewing milestones, and finalizing drawings.
  • Coordinating and directing AutoCAD drawing preparation.
  • Attending meetings with contractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Utilizing software tools such as AutoCAD daily.

What You Bring to Strum:

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Surveying/Geomatics or a diploma and CBEPS certificate. Relevant land surveying work experience is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply. You should be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Nova Scotia Land Surveyor and/or Candidate.
