Job Summary



The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processing and maintenance of inventory, and coordinating with production teams to meet manufacturing and sales requirements. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to lead a team of employees, implement policies and procedures, and maintain performance metrics.



Key Responsibilities




  • Manage a team of employees, providing coaching, delegation, performance evaluation, and training.
  • Implement and administer all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate performance metrics and report to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure efficiency in managing productivity, shipments, and quality of shipped goods.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Manage the handling, distribution, and storage of all products and materials received.
  • Collaborate with the advance planning team to manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
  • Receive, unpack, and sort incoming manufactured parts, and issue and distribute parts for assembly use.
  • Implement and perform cycle counts, resolving discrepancies and errors as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals and objectives.


Requirements




  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, or distribution management.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a team of employees.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Epicor or SAP is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with production personnel and other teams.
  • Detail-oriented and able to meet and exceed goals successfully.
