Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Elementary Counsellor to join our team at School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows). This is a 1.0 Temporary position effective September 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, or return of the incumbent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and assist school counsellors in their school-based counselling roles and practice.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the development of a counselling handbook, updating of protocols, policies, and provision and coordination of training.
  • Strengthen connection with community partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the helping teacher team to provide leadership to our schools.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counselling psychology or equivalent.
  • Successful elementary classroom teaching and counselling experience.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with other professionals, including school-based teams.
  • Ability to work as part of a strong collaborative team.
