Retail Labour Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Retail Labour & Workforce Planning to join our team at Arc'teryx. As a key member of our Retail Strategic Initiatives team, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts and developing and optimizing retail labour and scheduling models to allocate labour efficiently to individual stores based on unique attributes and traffic patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of retail analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Develop and optimize retail labour and scheduling models to allocate labour efficiently to individual stores.
- Work closely with the Director of People & Culture to plan seasonal and regular headcount needs, ensuring alignment with business forecasts.
- Partner with FP&A in labour budgeting, converting hours to expense, including salary, benefits, bonus, and other people costs.
- Play a vital role in implementing a new Workforce Management System, ensuring that the system meets the needs of our retail operations and provides accurate, actionable insights.
- Work closely with Retail Training, Business Intelligence, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of labour-related insights and strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in labour management processes and data accuracy, including data governance and management.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and models that provide insights into store labour, traffic performance, and sales analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail analytics, with a strong understanding of retail operations and customer behaviour.
- Experience building and managing a team of analysts with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Experience with retail data sources, including point of sale (POS) systems, inventory management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights in large data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining relationships at all levels and effectively communicating complex data insights to executives.
- Proactive problem solver with a commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and personal development.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in ambiguous situations.
What We Offer:
A competitive salary range of $104,000 - $130,000 USD per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
