Job Title: Transportation Operations Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our delivery fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of drivers, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of drivers and ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling to ensure efficient delivery of goods.
  • Monitor and analyze delivery times, routes, and other performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoors.
  • Noisy.

Work Setting:

  • Supervision.
  • Dispatching.
  • Willing to relocate.

Tasks:

  • Supervise workers and projects.
  • Train or arrange for training.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities.
  • Co-ordinate repairs and rentals.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.

Supervision:

  • 3-4 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

  • MS Excel.
  • MS Office.
  • MS Word.
