Job Summary:

In this role, you will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate the clinical physical therapy program for residents to maximize their wellness and mobility. You will work in a home-like environment with minimal supervision, supervising designated staff and educating other health professionals and residents on various aspects of physiotherapy related to resident care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess residents' physical needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide individualized physiotherapy services to residents, including exercises, modalities, and equipment-based interventions
  • Supervise and train designated staff on physiotherapy techniques and procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote optimal outcomes
  • Educate residents, families, and healthcare professionals on relevant aspects of physiotherapy and resident care

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy
  • Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA)
  • Three years' recent experience in physiotherapy, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
