Software Engineer III Job Description

About the Role

Legrand is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Building Control Systems Solarfective Team in Markham, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating embedded firmware and custom software applications for our gateway hub products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions using C/C++ on a Linux platform and embedded environment.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of product design specifications.
  • Develop and integrate custom software applications to meet functional requirements.
  • Review and analyze software modules contributed by extended teams or contract partners.
  • Develop and implement automated regression test applications.

Requirements

  • BS degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
  • 5+ years' experience with SW development in C/C++.
  • 5+ years' experience with UNIX/Linux.
  • 1+ years' experience with a formal development process.
