Exciting Opportunity at Invermere District Hospital

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Casual Nursing Unit Clerk to join our team at Invermere District Hospital. This is a Casual opportunity, which means there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements can vary from week to week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, process, coordinate, and transcribe physicians' orders
  • Act as a communication link for the Unit
  • Schedule, book, and coordinate patient/resident appointments
  • Assemble and maintain patient/resident charts, input patient/resident data, and transcribe information into relevant systems
  • Clerical duties, including keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing, and maintaining statistics, producing reports, delivering, and picking up items
  • Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff and submit/enter to payroll systems
  • Observe patient/resident call signals and relay messages to the appropriate personnel
Requirements:
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • A current Typing Test of 40 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
  • A Nursing Unit Clerk Certificate
  • Your Resume
  • A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position
