Qualifications and Requirements

: Child and Youth Worker diploma plus at least one year related experience in a child and family services setting Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Current valid Standard First Aid/CPR Level C certificate and training in Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour Understanding of group dynamics and strong skills in group and individual counseling, with a focus on supporting children and youth Candidates must also possess good report writing skills and the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records Must have a valid Ontario driver's license and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical Candidates who are bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration
