Job Title: Corporate Security Officer

Horizon Health Network is seeking a Corporate Security Officer to join our team in Moncton. This is a full-time, part-time, and casual position available.

About the Role:

As a Corporate Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring public safety within the healthcare environment. You will protect patients, the public, and staff from acts of violence with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and response. As an extension of the healthcare team, you will provide a safe and secure environment in support of the delivery of safe, quality care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment
  • Vigilant monitoring and patrol of assigned areas of responsibility
  • Establish rapport with clients and staff
  • Act as an internal first responder to acts of workplace violence
  • Provide operational leadership related to the mitigation of security risks and threats to public safety
  • Assume a lead role with respect to response and required physical intervention
  • Liaise with local law enforcement
  • Ensure the healthcare environment is free from weapons or other prohibited items
  • Collect, track, and report data pertaining to acts of violence

Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma in law enforcement, corrections, criminal justice, or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of military experience
  • Written and spoken competence in English
