Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our Medical Oncology team at Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital. As an RVT in this role, you will be responsible for managing appointments, procedures, and patient care, while working closely with our board-certified specialists.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointments, including history taking, physical examination, medical record-keeping, and patient discharges.
  • Perform procedures, such as preparing patients, setting up supplies, and administering chemotherapy.
  • Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of services, clients, and patient treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and referring hospitals.
  • Drive the VCA Canada experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician in British Columbia (or eligible).
  • Preference given for a minimum of two years of experience as an RVT, ideally in an emergency or referral setting.
  • Experience in providing sedation and monitoring in dogs and cats.
  • Exceptional time-management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in performing medical calculations.
  • Ability to work well with others in a hospital that requires a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Compassionate care and superior client communication skills.
