Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Salad Prep Cook to join our team at Compass Canada. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving meals to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for menu items, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators, adhering to safety standards.
  • Store food in designated areas, following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
  • Set up items for purchase on a daily basis.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, removing trash and garbage to designated areas.
  • Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
  • Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner, following outlined steps of service.
  • Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with food safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field is an asset.
