Key Responsibilities- Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, and other modalities.
- Assess clients by conducting range of motion and muscle tests, and propose treatment plans.
- Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients, and maintain records of treatments given.
- Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body, and suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques.
- Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists.
- Basic security clearance and a criminal record check.
- Manual dexterity, physically demanding work, and repetitive tasks.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client care.
