Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Southbridge Roseview in Thunder Bay, Ontario. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the client's home.

About the Role:
  • This is a casual position, with varied hours and shifts available.
  • You will work closely with the Support Service Manager to ensure that all areas of the home are clean and well-maintained.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings, as well as performing daily tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting.
Responsibilities:
  1. Clean and sanitize rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures.
  2. Perform daily tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and dusting, as well as deeper cleaning duties as required.
  3. Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens.
  4. Operate laundry machines and report any malfunctions to the Supervisor.
  5. Maintain laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies, and advise the Supervisor of inventory levels and linen shortages.
  6. Evaluate and maintain quality assurance, fire safety, and other company policies and procedures.
  7. Perform outside work as required, including removal of light snow, sanding, and salting.
  8. Cooperate with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
