About the Role

Genpact is seeking an exceptional software engineer to advance our capability in system deployment, availability, latency, performance, and capacity management. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to system functionality development and architecture transformation to next-generation cloud-centric systems, leveraging microservices architecture and aligned with our DevOps and Agile strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy highly available microservices written in multiple languages, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance site reliability capabilities and contribute to the development of our high-performance client-facing order management system.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and drive platform evolution to leverage new technologies, ensuring stability, capacity, and performance of our systems.
  • Manage technological risk and developer productivity, defining system architecture, DevOps, and software deployment models in collaboration with the larger tech community within the firm.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, STEM, or equivalent practical experience, with strong computing fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, software design, and core programming concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in development of production-grade C++ applications and proficiency in one or more of the following skills: grpc, REST.
  • Experience in systems operation and management, understanding of site reliability engineer role and capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences, and working globally.
  • Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems using microservices.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Basic Linux knowledge and willingness to learn new languages, including Python.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud deployment and toolchains, including Docker, Artifactory, and Bazel.
  • Understanding of open-source server platforms, such as Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, and ElasticSearch.
  • Experience in configuring open telemetry stacks, including Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, and Loki.
  • Broad understanding of DevOps tools and technologies, including Git, Jenkins, and Ansible.
