The Municipality of North Cowichan is seeking a Water Rescue Specialist to join their team on a casual basis. As a Water Rescue Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for the public and delivering quality educational programs within the aquatics environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a National Lifeguard - Pool Option certification, Standard First Aid certification, and Swim Instructor certification. They will also have demonstrable skills in a Windows-driven network system, including the practical use of Microsoft Office programs and program registration and facility booking software.

The successful candidate will be able to work weekends, evenings, statutory holidays, and shift work. They will also be able to work independently as well as under supervision.

This is a unionized position (CUPE Local 358), and the collective agreement may be viewed on the Municipality's website.
