PCL Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Project Administration: Provide overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to the project team.
- Safety Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive project safety plan, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Project Performance: Ensure the project is constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Client Relationships: Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
- Performance Reporting: Manage project performance and provide regular performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedule.
- Contract Compliance: Understand, communicate, and enforce the contract and contract documents.
- Project Closeout: Develop and coordinate overall project closeout.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
- Education: Postsecondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience: 8–10 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
- Security Clearance: Eligible for security clearance (Secret Level).
- Safety Culture: Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction industry including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Leadership Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
- Communication Skills: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
