Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with precision and accuracy.
  • Cut and fasten underlay and underpadding with ease and efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive flooring plans and scheduling to meet tight deadlines.
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors with attention to detail.
  • Prepare floors for installations by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces as required.
  • Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting with expertise.
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations and double-bond carpet installations with precision.
  • Install outdoor carpets and materials on countertops and raised platforms with ease.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the field of flooring installation is essential.
  • The highest level of study completed should be equivalent to secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
