Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a skilled Physiotherapist to provide high-quality physiotherapy services in HSC Physiotherapy Child Health department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Overview

This role involves providing consultation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation to maintain optimal function, prevent disability, and promote well-being. You will also educate and guide other healthcare providers, offer clinical supervision and training for students, and participate in education of other healthcare professionals upon request.

The successful candidate will be registered on the Active Practice Register of the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba and have a membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

About the Role
  1. Provide quality physiotherapy services to clients, including consultation, client assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis, planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation.
  2. Educate and guide other healthcare providers or people working within the educational system.
  3. Offer clinical supervision and training for students and participate in the education of other healthcare professionals upon request.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated.
  • Where required by provincial licensing, successfully completed the written component of the Physiotherapy Competency exam and successfully complete the requirements for Active Practice Register within 2 years of completing the written exam.
