Job Description

**Job Title:** Dean of Faculty - English Department Leader

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our English department as the Dean of Faculty - English Department Leader. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving academic excellence and student success in English education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of English teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with the College's goals and values.
  • Collaborate with leadership to uphold the College's mission and values, and to drive strategic initiatives that promote academic excellence and student wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement professional development programs to support the growth and development of teaching staff.
  • Ensure that all English programs and activities are aligned with the College's Christian values and active faith practice.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers to ensure that they are equipped to meet the needs of all students, including those with diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of English programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in English education, preferably in a Christian school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of English curriculum and pedagogy, with a focus on academic excellence and student wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and promote academic excellence and student success.
  • Commitment to upholding the College's Christian values and active faith practice.
