About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Jacob Bros Construction. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and servicing heavy equipment, including Caterpillar, Hitachi, Deere, and Komatsu machines.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair problems with structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes and filter replacements
  • Use hand and power tools to repair and maintain equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the shop Foreman and other team members to ensure all repairs and tests are performed satisfactorily
Requirements
  • Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification
  • Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement
  • Minimum of four (4) years' Red Seal certified experience
  • Minimum ten years experience
  • Prior experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi, Deere, Komatsu equipment
