Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Geophysical Analyst to join our Energy Transition Group. The successful candidate will work remotely from Colombia and report to the Manager of Analytics for the Energy Transition. The Geophysical Analyst will be responsible for acquiring, processing, and reporting on microseismic data related to Energy Transition.
Key Responsibilities- Project setup, configuration, and optimization
- Microseismic data processing (picking, event location, source parameter calculations)
- Maintenance and monitoring of site performance and health, updating site parameters as needed
- Data interpretation and report writing
- On-call response and potential office support
- Integration of geological and geophysical data sets
- Modeling and feasibility analyses, including array designs
- Participation in client meetings and presentations
- Strong knowledge of English
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related field
- P.Geo, P.Eng, P.Geoph, or the ability to obtain these designations is considered an asset
- 0-2 years of work experience, with seismology/microseismic experience considered an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new software and technologies
