Job Summary

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of outstanding integrated healthcare to our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for patients with a range of conditions, including stroke and rehabilitation needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support patients and their families.
  • Develop and deliver formal patient education programs within the Integrated Stroke Unit.
  • Document patient care according to institutional and College standards.
  • Participate in patient care meetings and maintain relevant statistics.
  • Contribute to program development, evaluation, and education activities as determined by the service.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Eligibility for C.P.A., OPA membership.
  • Completion of the Physiotherapy core competencies for Stroke from CorHealth.
  • CPR certification.
  • Alpha FIM and FIM certification.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on adult, senior, and rehabilitation populations.
  • Experience with stroke care is an asset.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ADP authorizer or willingness to obtain within 1 year.
  • Experience with NRS (National Reporting System) is an asset.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
  • Neurology/Neurosciences Certificates are an asset.
