About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III to join our Building Control Systems team at Legrand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating software and firmware solutions for our Building Control System (BCS) Division.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software solutions using C/C++ on a Linux platform and embedded environment.
- Contribute to the creation and review of product design specifications.
- Develop and integrate custom software applications for gateway hub products.
- Review and analyze software modules contributed by extended teams or contract partners.
- Develop and implement automated regression test applications.
- Perform other similar and related duties as required.
Requirements
- BS degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related master's degree.
- 5+ years' experience with SW development in C/C++.
- 5+ years' experience with UNIX/Linux.
- 1+ years' experience with a formal development process.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EVT, DVT, and PVT phases (Or equivalent tollgate development processes) for hardware, software, and firmware development, as well as Alpha, Beta phases for SW.
- Experience with Agile tools including familiarity with VSTS, JIRA or similar.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control several projects at various stages of work.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.
- Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
