About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Plumber Assistant to join our team at Canadian Rooter. As a key member of our plumbing crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water system installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pipe Installation and Maintenance: Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, perform routine maintenance work, and ensure that all pipes are properly measured, cut, threaded, and bent to required shape and size.
  • Quality Control: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges to ensure that our installations meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Construction Specialization: Work on pipelines, water mains, irrigation, and drainage systems, requiring a strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and in physically demanding conditions, handling heavy loads and requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accuracy, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
  • Green Job: Contribute to positive environmental outcomes through your work.
  • Workplace Information: Work on the road, with a 40-hour workweek and English as the primary work language.
