Operations Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team at Océan Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the work of our operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality and efficiency of work carried out by the operations team
  • Apply Ocean Group's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Participate in hiring, employee management, and payroll processes
  • Conduct performance appraisals and ensure compliance with project schedules and planning
  • Oversee and supervise the execution of activities and projects
  • Assess and prepare project requirements and ensure procurement
  • Inspect vessel and barge maintenance and repair work to ensure compliance with plans and standards
  • Review ship maintenance and repair/renovation plans and drawings
  • Ensure compliance with current quality standards and participate in the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two to five years' experience in a similar position managing an operations team
  • Professional degree in mechanics or other relevant training
  • Good knowledge of diesel engine mechanics and electronic troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital platforms such as SAP, Power BI, Conform-IT, and Sinex
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license
  • Availability for travel to other work sites
  • Language: Advanced level in oral and written French; Intermediate level in spoken and written English
