Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a part-time Criminology Intervention Teacher position at John Abbott College. This role will involve teaching Criminology Intervention courses to First, Second, and Third year students.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for teaching and criminology to join our team at John Abbott College. As a Criminology Intervention Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum that meets the needs of our students, as well as evaluating their progress and providing feedback.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Social Work or related field
  • Directly related work experience preferred
  • Teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred
  • Working knowledge of the structure and operation of the youth and adult correctional and social service system in Quebec
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Psychoeducation or related field
  • CPR/First Responder certification
Additional Requirements:
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of the relevant correctional systems in Quebec
  • Ability to certify students in CPR and First Aid
