Construction Foreman/Forewoman

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman/Forewoman to join our dynamic team at Next Level Group, specializing in Commercial and Residential projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of ongoing projects and contribute to our growing success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Build structures according to detailed plans and drawings, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Assist in the development and refinement of building plans, mentor junior employees, and effectively communicate with the crew foreman and/or site supervisor.
  • Materials Management: Select and utilize appropriate materials and tools for various projects, maintaining and updating inventory records as required.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety standards, promoting occupational health and safety on site, and perform daily inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment, ensure work areas are clean and organized, and perform other duties as assigned to support project success.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience in a construction (Residential or Commercial) environment.
  • Education: Post-secondary education or carpentry trade certificate from a recognized program preferred; apprentices considered.
  • Skills: Competent in the use and maintenance of related tools and equipment, knowledge of building regulations and codes, and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, pull, and push 50+ lbs regularly, climb ladders, operate heavy machinery, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive work.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive, motivated, and hardworking with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and willingness to work overtime as required during peak seasons.
