About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Whistler Blackcomb, one of Canada's premier ski resorts. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles, including trucks, UTVs, and snowmobiles, as well as outdoor power equipment. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a fleet of vehicles and outdoor power equipment, ensuring all units are in good working order
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems on various equipment
  • Service and repair equipment, including removal, repair, and assembly of components
  • Detail equipment, including painting and cleaning
  • Fill out work orders and daily sheets as required
  • Move equipment safely in and out of service buildings

Requirements:

  • Automotive Red Seal or CQ/Red Seal certification or applicable tradesman designation
  • Familiarity with truck mechanics, preferably GMC/CHEVROLET
  • Familiarity with BRP or Yamaha UTVs and small engine powered equipment an asset
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, safety-focused environment
  • Must be able to work at a high level without supervision in extreme weather conditions
  • Clean Class 5 BC Driver's License and ability to drive ATVs, trucks, and snowmobiles for equipment recoveries and on-hill temporary repairs
