About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Coordinator to join our team at BC Hydro. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's public image and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective public relations strategies to promote BC Hydro's brand and values.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute communications plans that support business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing insights and recommendations to inform communications strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive media list, ensuring timely and effective distribution of company news and announcements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and stories.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
