Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled long haul truck driver to join our team at Manitoba Ltd. As a long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Physically demanding
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Work Environment: The work environment for this position is physically demanding and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The work term is permanent and the work language is English. The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
