Job Description

The Plant Shift Supervisor will oversee a team of 5-6 dock employees responsible for unloading inbound trucks and staging tires within our processing facility. This role requires coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, verifying documentation, and promoting a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of dock employees, ensuring efficient unloading and staging of tires.
  • Coordinate with plant operations to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment for the team.
  • Submit reports on inbound tire volumes and other data to management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a warehouse industry is preferred.
  • Experience in warehousing, with a license to operate a forklift is an asset.
  • This role requires physical ability to lift and maneuver tires (up to 30 pounds) and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Scale Manager software is an asset.
