Job Title: Over-the-Road Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Over-the-Road Truck Driver to join our team at Khera Transport Inc. As an Over-the-Road Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and communication.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.
  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Load and unload goods, using equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Pay and receive payments for goods, using a variety of payment methods.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking and replacing air filters, oil filters, and spark plugs.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, using communication systems and GPS navigation.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.

Requirements:

  • AZ class license.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel cross-border.
  • Willing to travel for extended periods.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling.
  • Hard hat.
  • Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Tools.
