Job Summary

The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained. This includes coordinating inspections, supervising staff, and maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure efficient operation of the department
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Establish work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers to ensure efficient operation of the department
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a housekeeping or related role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
