Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care services to deliver high-quality clinical outcomes.
  • Perform all aspects of clinical preventative hygiene services, including scaling, root planning, polishing, topical fluoride, pit and fissure sealants, and whitening.
  • Provide oral health education and counseling to patients, introducing new preventative techniques and promoting healthy habits.
  • Take dental radiographs, Itero scans, and intra-oral pictures, with training provided as needed.
  • Administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide as required.
  • Establish and maintain patient loyalty by delivering tailored experiences based on individual expectations, while upholding ethical and professional standards.
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registration as a Dental Hygienist and good standing with provincial licensing requirements.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ABELDent and digital radiography systems is preferred.
