Job Title: Public Health Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide health education and promotion to individuals and communities
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings
  • Develop and implement health programs and services
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams and community partners
  • Provide counseling and support to individuals and families
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Completion of specialty nursing certificate (20 hour breast/chest feeding education), BCCDC immunization certificate, BCCNM certified practice designation in contraceptive management and/or STI, as applicable
  • Two (2) years' recent, related public health nursing experience, including experience related to the designated client population (prenatal, infant, child, youth and/or adult)
