Compensation:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, reflective of the 2024-2025 market rate based on experience.

Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time Senior Architect with 8 to 20 years of post-graduate working experience. This individual will be well-rounded, with excellent leadership skills and registered as an architect with the AAA. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing leadership in design and mentoring team members
  • Coordinating and delivering presentations to various user groups
  • Contributing to business development initiatives, such as Request for Proposals and Fee Proposals
  • Regularly reviewing monthly client and consultant invoices
  • Overseeing project status, schedule, and costs
  • Coordinating/Assisting in the development of conceptual design options
  • Guiding the preparation of drawings, models, visuals, graphics, and other documents relating to project design
  • Developing programming aspects of project design
  • Exercising maturity in architectural judgment to anticipate and solve complexities
  • Coordinating and administering client and/or consultant meetings
  • Managing client relationships and developing them throughout the project process

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 8–20 years of relevant post-graduate experience in design/architectural/engineering
  • An architectural degree from an accredited institution
  • Registration with Provincial Architectural Association (Registered Architect, AAA)
  • A strong understanding of all phases of the design delivery process and their interconnectedness
  • Good knowledge of project phases and project management functions
  • Knowledge of BC building, fire, and energy codes, as well as Bylaws and municipal authority processes
  • Understanding of specifications, building materials, installation methods, and construction processes
  • Strong understanding of architectural document preparation and layouts
  • Good knowledge of building envelope and principles
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam REVU, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-Up
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire for career growth in leadership
